Take the Comfort of Camping Lounge Chairs with You on Your Trip this Summer

If you enjoy camping with your family in the summer like many of us do, but you don’t want to sit on rocks or logs like a Neanderthal, take portable camping lounge chairs with you on your trip. Here are just a few reasons why you should invest in a good quality lounge chair for camping:

You’ll be spending a lot of time in that chair. Let’s be realistic; while your kids are out hiking, or swimming, or biking, you’ll probably be chatting with the family at the next campsite. When they invite you over for marshmallows, you’ll want to arrive in style!

They’re low maintenance. Nearly all the types of lounge chairs wipe clean with a damp cloth and a tiny bit of soap, which makes dirt and spills extremely easy to clean up.

Types of Camping Lounge Chairs

There are a few different types of lounge chairs that are highly suitable for camping. Basically, camping chairs have to meet the requirements listed above. You can find many different styles of chairs that work.

Web lawn chairs – Webbed lawn chairs are those old-school aluminum frame chairs. They’re lightweight and fold up neatly to hang on a wall or to fit in the trunk of your car. They’re low maintenance and last a very long time. However, they can be a bit more difficult to find these days, and they don’t fold up as tightly as some of the newer nylon folding chairs.

Sling lounge chairs – these are more like lounge chaise chairs and are long and comfortable to read in, or for a quiet nap. They’re adjustable, and they fold up well considering their large size.

Super portable folding camping lounge chairs – Not sure what else to call these, but they’re great. They fold up very tightly and you’ll have no trouble fitting 4 or 5 of them in the trunk of your car. Some of them have a combined footrest or cup holders, which makes them ideal for camping. Also, don’t forget the kids… they make these chairs in miniature for your little ones too!
